Biostatistics
UCLA offers a broad array of educational opportunities and biostat assistance in the methods of clinical research to meet the diverse needs of trainees, faculty and staff at UCLA.
The UCLA CTSI Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design Program provides integrated services and biostatistical support. Services include contemporary data analysis methodology consultation, implementation, and epidemiology expertise; the best available clinical data management software; study design and grant preparation assistance; and bioinformatics/computational biology data analysis.
The UCLA CTSI also provides the following consultation services
- Data analysis
- Epidemiological expertise
- Manuscript and grant preparation
- Methodology for community-based studies
- Survey research and practice
- Survival analysis and adaptive designs
The Statistical Consulting Center of the UCLA Department of Statistics Provides statistical consulting and data analysis services to the UCLA research community and to the community at large.
The UCLA Office of Advanced Research Computing's Statistical Consulting Group offers many services to UCLA researchers. Most of their services are provided free of charge. The goal of the UCLA Statistical Consulting Group is to help UCLA faculty, staff, and graduate students perform top-notch research, with the greatest emphasis on data analysis related to grants and publications, but also including dissertation research. They provide advice and resources to enable you to develop and/or extend your statistical computing skills, helping you to independently use common statistical packages for the analysis of research data.
The mission of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center Biostatistics, Analytical Support & Evaluation (BASE) is to provide statistical analysis and study design services to the UCLA Cancer Center community.
The UCLA Department of Biostatistics was established to develop a graduate program to meet the demand for well-trained biostatisticians; develop biostatistical research programs responsive to the scientific problems encountered in public health and biomedicine; and actively collaborate with investigators at UCLA and worldwide to solve global health problems.
